St Gwendoline's Church in Llyswen sits on a potentially Saxon site. Gwendoline herself was a Saxon princess, daughter of King Brychan of Brecheiniog. She was killed by pagan saxons and is buried in Talgarth. The church itself is simple and peaceful, housing some lovely stained glass. The original building was destroyed and only the Norman font survives in the Victorian reconstruction.
