Amazing find as we visited area for a birthday party. Small intimate venue, with plenty of parking and great staff. Real fireplace makes it more cosy. Good choice of starters, mains and dessert. For starters, I opted for firecracker scampi, which was crispy with plenty of fiery sauce. For main I went for beef which had a lovely rich flavour and dessert was a lovely warm gooey brownie. Highly recommend if you are in this area

Outstanding food, best Ive had in many years. Cozy, place, friendly staff. About that review mentioning a cold door, the car park entrance goes inside to the rear, then theres another door inside that opens to the restaurant with a large table, the rest of the seating is around a corner with a fireplace. Ask about your seating if youre worried about the rear door entrance. That aside Im still amazed at the cheddar souffl and the lamb. Took my mum there, Ive never seen her eat three courses before, she loved it too. Booking online was a bit of a faff, so I just called and got a reservation in seconds.
