If youd asked me a year ago I would have given a 4/5 star review but the way this place has treated me with regards to leaving and other members/staff is a complete joke. After keeping my membership during the multiple lockdowns the price increase for members was a little annoying but I understood why this happened. A few weeks later he then introduced the old price back for new members while excluding those who were loyal during the pandemic. Granted the new price of 20 a month is still quite cheap for the area but being excluded from the new deals despite showing real loyalty to help the business keep going during those long lockdowns and the fact multiple machines now dont work and are just left strewn all over the place made me want a change of scenery. Trying to leave in all honesty has been a complete nightmare. I did everything that was asked of me to leave which i was told was to submit my notice in writing, this was ignored and I have been constantly bombarded with threatening account overdue emails/texts despite me no longer being a member. I have responded to all of these but all again have been ignored. The threatening emails also included a date of when my supposed 12 month contract ends even though the date is well over 3 years since I joined and also the complete wrong month (im also on a DD monthly basis not a 12 month commitment contract) I would be more likely to get blood out of a stone than a response off the club. They also recently posted asking multiple members to leave the gym immediately by cancelling their DD if they used a certain personal trainer who I believe he sacked out of the blue. I know that hes also sending those former members the same threatening emails with made up dates etc. I would highly recommend never joining this gym as the leaving process is a complete nightmare and you are treated with complete contempt by the owner. Its quite a sad end really to a place I once enjoyed going too.
