The Buffet Coach Cafe

Ended up at this place twice over Bank Holiday weekend. Well priced and very tasty. Very friendly staff and lovely setting. Found this place via a biker recommended app.

This place has really seemed to let itself go. Based on the other reviews, this used to be a great place to eat, but sadly that was not my experience. There's a sign on the wall stating that if you have any allergies, to let the staff know. I have a peanut allergy, and simply asked if they had anything on the menu that used peanuts, or if they used peanut oil in their kitchen. The woman taking our order stated that she had no idea. When I asked if she could possibly check, she said that she was the only one on staff that day, and that she had no idea what they used. She also said that they had taken all the labels off of the oil, so she didn't know what was used. All fairness, she did work with me a little, and offered me a poached egg bap since that didn't use oil, and I did appreciate that. However, when we were finished eating and got up to leave, we noticed that she was outside taking a private call on her cell phone, not paying attention at all to what was going on in the cafe. Overall, not impressed at all. Anyone with any food allergies or intolerances beware.
