First experience of a bothy . Solar power worked well even in October , well once I'd realised you had to unplug it push the AC switch located behind the actual plug then plug it back in again lol. Very spacious . Lovely bench and table . We did have a visitor every night thankfully it wasn't able to gain access to our food . It's a lovely secluded area with great views. I've given it four stars instead of five mainly because of the horrendous drive to the bothy . Although short it could benefit from more gravel been put down and some vegetation cut back. Do not drive to this location unless you have a four wheel drive .

Great location and beautiful surorunding countryside hills. Possible to walk from the bothy to the start of the Watkin path to summit Snowdon with some waterfalls en route. The bothy has a working water flush toilet (external at the back) and a kitchen sink inside with a tap (although the water flow rate is a bit slow). There is also an external tap that provides a good flow rate but the water is not potable (in either case), therefore you'll need to boil it prior to consumption. You'll need a head-torch and an extra battery-powered light or two. No mains electricity, but there is a solar powered battery-inverter that can provide 240Volts AC for low powered devices (i.e. NOT a hairdryer) and the fixed lights in the bothy (and toilet) itself (be aware that since it's solely solar powered, there is a high likelihood of the battery capacity being depleted (especially in winter). There is a table and bench as well as 2 x wooden platforms for sleeping on the 'ground' floor, and two wooden platform beds on the upper 'mezzanine'. Access is via gravel tracks through multiple gates on a working farm. Low slung rear-wheel drive coupe type cars will NOT be able to make it the final 200 meters. A normal hatch-back type car will be fine though. Parking spot about 30 meters from the bothy itself, very convenient.
