        Amazing place. Not only is it busting with history, atmosphere and stories but the building itself is stunning. Very deceptive as its alot bigger than the outside would suggest. The staff are very friendly and will share a ghost story or two if asked. There is a visitors book behind reception where guests add their experiences. Definitely worth a read after you've finished your tour. It's great value for the money. Very oppressive energy about the place. 2 executions occurred here. Spooky place.

        We recently enjoyed a holiday in Beaumaris and decided to visit the gaol as we were staying a short distance away. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and it taught us some interesting facts that we didnt know, like why a prison officer is called a screw. We thought the price was reasonable and you can buy a ticket which incorporates entry to the old court house as well. Plus you dont have to visit both on the same day. Its definitely well worth a visit and a fascinating way to spend a couple of hours.
