Barry Library

A really good library with not just a good variety of books on offer but with good facilities on site also. Today I saw a couple of elderly people sitting inside, away from the cold enjoying a hot drink whilst in another area it looked like there was a representative from Barclays Money Matterz providing advice to someone. I often see people using the various computers and sitting with books which shows the library is being used well. There used to be some sort of sessions for kids too but not sure if they still run. There is still an area designated for them though. ***update*** there does still appear to still be a kiddie group of some sort. I went to the library today and there was a group having a sing along. Although not the biggest library around, it is a really good size and offers a lot. It is nice to have a library like this in the Vale of Glamorgan and to see it being made use of. With the current council hell bent on destroying as many services as possible whilst paying ridiculously high salaries to unnecessary staff, I hope the library remains safe.

This should be a zero stars for horrible service just came home to my mother in distraught because she went to the library at half 10 to print some papers off and she went to the counter to get it sorted and had this horrible lady speak to her who was blonde she didnt catch her name but she had a go at my mother saying next time bring somebody with you if you cant see in a horrible way and my mother said I couldnt today because my daughter was in work and she said oh in a nasty way and usually when me or my mum go down we usually have great experience down their with the other staff there.
