        Barry and Vale residents lets do our bit to keep places like Jacquies alive and thriving! I had the best experience this morning. The fruit & vegetables are delicious and fresh. Customer service outstanding. You can clearly see how much care and attention is given. Loved the fact they also dont use single plastic bags! I am a new customer and on finding this gem of a shop wont go anywhere else.

        Having filled a basket & more with fruit & veg, it was only half-way through tapping it in at the till that the assistant informed me it was CASH ONLY. I had no cash on me (who uses cash in a pandemic?) - just a contactless card. Couldn't she have told me this before she watched me fillling up my basket? Where was the sign? She suggested I use the cashpoint next-door-but-one, but it charges 1.50 a hit to use it. No way was I prepated to pay a 1.50 surcharge just to shop there. I've just walked home emptyhanded & annoyed. So much for supporting the local High St - I'll stick to the supermarket.
