Positives: From our room, nice view of the mountains (when clouds permitted); from other side, imagine there would have been a good view of the Menai Strait. Beds comfortable. Room had a kettle. Breakfast fine. Bedroom windows opened (seems to be a rarity in hotels these days).
Negatives: Duvet really lightweight: surprised I slept well. Bedroom window open as all-or-nothing: it was a cold night! Toilet paper really thin and horrible. Shower cubicle small and shower awkward. Car park not full when we arrived but laid out so badly that no one could have fitted into the empty spaces and no parking easily available within 5 minutes of hotel. Breakfast served in bar and everything still felt a little sticky from last night's clientele.
Things to note: Have to pre-book time for breakfast. Bar has slope entrance for people with mobility issues, but residents entrance doesn't which would be awkward for some people outside of pub hours. Pub gents had no working lights: had to rely on phone torch.
Conclusion: Have stayed in a few places in Bangor in recent years. Would be happy enough to stay here again.
