Only place I could get sun screen in Bala and being a ginger I was slowly cooking in the heat wave.

For fishing supplies and advice of the local area Barry is really helpful, knows his stuff and happy to share his knowledge. I'm just a novice in fly fishing but I found it full of interesting fly tying materials and flies. There is a huge selection of fly line, leaders, tippets and standard monofilament and braid. Along with that, there are accessories, tools, rods and reels for all kinds of fishing. You could spend a small fortune in here!! I would recommend calling first to check if they are open. It is just Barry and his wife who run the shop so they cannot always be open. I highly recommend a visit for any visiting fisherman.

My daughter and grandson love fishing as do my husband and myself. Our grandson is only 7yrs old but catches more and bigger fish than all of us. When the visit they always go into Y Gwyniad as they are helpful and talk to our grandson giving him pieces of information and knowledge. Great shop and great people .
