Castle Hotel

Not good price for money. Was a last minute booking as travelling up to Snowdon, wish we had done some research first. I'm unsure how this can be considered a hotel when it doesn't provide food facilities. Breakfast is cold breakfast only for 7.50 per person. I would consider this to be an Inn (pub with room facilities). The shower was luke warm and wouldn't get hot, the vent in the bathroom didn't work, no air con so only breeze is via the window which when open in the evening you hear the pub noise below, had some guys shouting at eachother around 11.30-midnight. it's close to the beach and the castle but 120 for room only is excessive when you can book a guest house including breakfast a stones throw away.

We received a warm welcome when we arrived at the hotel and the room on first impressions looked really nice. Parking was a bit of a nightmare and we spent roughly 45 mins trying to find a parking space. We stayed for two nights in a twin room with sea view and we did have a couple of issues - the lights appeared to have a loose wire or something was wrong as they kept going on and off and flickering. We did mention this but there wasn't really any attempt to find what the problem was. The bathroom did not have any windows and to be plunged into darkness while in the shower or toilet is a bit disconcerting!! The shower was good but the temperature dial wasnt working so we couldn't regulate the heat and was rather hot. Pillows were wafer thin I had to fold both of mine in half! I would stay at the hotel again but not at a cost of 175 a night. I would have expected a better quality for that amount of money and a breakfast included. The breakfast option was a continental breakfast served in your room for an additional 7.50 and I think this should be included in the price. Overall enjoyed the stay just didn't feel was value for money
