Aberdyfi is a very nice spot! The beach is ok, but not quite as good as Barmouth. There is quite a lot of jellyfish too! The main carpark is 5.50 for 12 hours which isn't too bad. It is home to one of the BEST fish & chips shops I've found in the UK (Walkers). It has FREE public toilets (not the cleanest I must add) and some small shops selling ice-cream and a "few" gifts. I say "few" because the only "general" gift shop I found was small, and it sold more tins of paint (yes you read that correctly!) than gifts for tourists and visitors. If someone opened a large gift shop here they could make a fortune! So currently, if you like to spend part of your seaside visit looking around gift shops this is NOT the area to visit.
