The hotel age 1815 full of character nicely decorated. The staff are friendly and can't do enough for you especially Rikin. Our room & on suite were spotlessly clean and warm and recently decorated. A good choice of food, the Italian food freshly made and the full welsh breakfast superb. Can't praise the staff enough, attentive and friendly, thank you.

First room was damp , second room was better. Hotel itself needs a major revamp, its tired, unkept , cobwebs, dust galore . Carpet coming away on the stairs, dirty , wallpaper coming off .Needs a major revamp & clean. Food has no flavour, takes forever to arrive. Very disappointing. No hot water , shower is just warm. Considering the reviews on this place. The only thing thats great is the town, very colourful and relaxing . The hotel a huge disappointment . Walkability: Good location for the town

What a lovely hotel. It's set back from the town centre (so quieter) but not far to walk to town, beach and harbour. The owner and the manager were both welcoming, friendly and attentive. The restaurant served Italian food which was very tasty. We tried 4 different options during our stay and each one was delicious. We would definitely visit again when next in the area.

Rooms: When we arrived the room that was allocated was not as seen in the photos, we complained as there was mould on the wall and the room seemed damp. we were allocated another room which was much better the only issue was the shower which was cold for two days the shower head was great just no hot water. I must say the bed was realy comfortable and i slept well. Safety: I understand that its a grade 2 building but the carpet on the stairs is loose and frayed and im sure that the gap under the door would pass fire regulations. The uneven floors add to the charm and authenticity of the building Food & drinks: I was looking forward to the food as it is build as authentic Italian but what we received was far from this. As a chef I have been lucky to eat in many fine Italian reterants this was not one of these. My main lacked flavour and I asked for a sauce, what i got was more a jus. I know what its like when people are not happy with their meal but I didn't want to complain as the young girl was trying her best. Breakfast was very slow and it took 40mins to get hot food this morning even though you alocated us a time slot. I was not sure how long it takes to cook a couple of fried eggs and a slice of fried bread. Lastly your sweeping statement about junk food is far from accurate. And please get rid of the cobwebs in the dinning room. Noteworthy details: The staff are the hotels saving grace they were freindly and could not do enough to help.
