        It's a decent station for getting to Glasgow and Lanark it is a bit small but it isn't the main station if you can't get to Motherwell station go here

        Limited service provided by ScotRail to this station with only trains to and from Lanark stopping here. The station is unmanned and has shelters in both directions to keep you out of the rain. There is street parking on John Street at the Craigneuk side but the proposed park and ride at the Excelsior Estate side has never happened despite all building work having been finished for years. The lane and bridge are monitored using CCTV and there are information boards with train times displayed in both directions. Be aware that fast trains on the main London line also pass through.
