University Hospital Wishaw

I was in ward 4 with 6 beds. Nice quiet ward and all patients had a good laugh. Most staff were amazing as a cross between old school and new school so it was entertaining. I know staff are busy and most work really hard. The only thing waiting 12 hours for pain relief was a joke. I had to get my kid to bring pain relief in. There was movement of people before I went in the ward and there was blood on floors for 2 days and red fluid on ceiling which is still there. It was I'll get it just now or not my job. The person who's job it was not cleaned it up.

Ward 16 are lovely gran well looked after by them attentive and caring.

Waited 7 hrs with a 5 months baby to see a doctor and then another 3 hrs to be moved to the ward UNBELIEVABLE (5pm arrived 2am entered the WARD) staff was very nice but.....

Filthy wards ..cleaner's creating airborne dust cleaning dried fluid marks of floor with polishers no disinfectant or mops n bucket took huff when I told one to mop the floor of dirt and sick marks before polishing it CLEANING SHOULD NOT BE PRIVATISED AND SHOULD BE SCRUTINISED food was below average BEST AVOIDED YOUR LIFE COULD DEPEND ON IT

Wishaw hospital is a very good hospital. My one complaint is parking. I had an appointment for 4pm, got there at 3.15 and drove around the carpark for 35 mins until I finally got a place. It's the same at all local hospitals, so why don't they build multi storey car parking at hospitals?
