Made to stand in the shop and order online then wait for the order to appear on their computer. The item was on the shop floor next to where I was standing. Utter madness and waste of my time. Had enough time to write this review though. Could have been over to Toolstation and back by now. Could have had my lunch by now. Oh come on, joke shop!!!

I regularly use Screwfix and Toolstation in Westhill. The last time I was in Screwfix Westhill was to purchase a leaf blower and I went to the desk with the item code. The woman asked if I was there to collect, I told her I wanted to buy. She asked me to check the stock level myself via the computer at the side of the shop which allowed her to get back to standing behind the desk doing nothing. When I found it was out of stock, I walked out, this got her attention and I heard her saying she could order it in, as the door closed behind me. Earlier, in Toolstation, where I had just come from (the shops are next door to one another), another item I wanted was out of stock, but the man patiently checked the computer and offered several substitutes, one of which I accepted. The moral of the story is, if you want decent customer service go to Toolstation, but if you are only doing click and collect from home, then Screwfix is alright.
