Lamont Chalets

Love this place...about to go for our 3rd visit in less than a year. Really relaxing and beautiful location. Not as busy as Skye, but really easily accessed by car. The turn table ferry takes you over to Skye directly from Glenelg, or 30-40min drive to the bridge. The beach is amazing for running the dog, and quite often have it to yourself. The cabins are really clean, well equipped, and feel really private. The owner is very accommodating. Very fairly priced, highly recommend. Update: Just returned from a 2 week stay. Looking to book again soon! One thing we realised staying this long is that there are no major supermarkets nearby, just a very expensive co-op 40min drive away (locals tend to get shopping delivered though). There is a small village shop that is stocked with essentials. The local pub does excellent fish and chips and burgers to take away if not feeling like eating in.

Lovely location. The chalets were a bit scruffy on the outside, but surprisingly modern on inside. Nice clean bathroom and kitchen.The communal building could also do with a bit of TLC. Other thing I would rate it down for were the furniture. Unstable chairs and broken cabinet drawers. This may have been done by the guests before us and things did not get rectified for our arrival..., but I thought it's worth mentioning in case if it wasn't. We really enjoyed our stay and with a bit of investment these could be rented out for more money. At this price point though, I shouldn't really complain. The host was lovely to deal with too, although we didn't see her much she has always been very nice. Bless her
