Tarhuna highland holiday home

We were guests of friends staying at Tarhuna. The house is immaculate, clean and presents well. Beds are comfy with ample bedding. Kitchen is well equipped. We would come again without any quibbles.Prospective guests need to know it is almost at the end of the road in remote Scotland. Do your bulk supplies shopping beforehand. Essentials can be obtained in Strath, about 6 miles before the house. The butcher is very good. Being so far means that there may be occasional power outages of short duration. Internet connection can be unstable. Mobile phone signal is quite patchy. That said, we were only mildly inconvenienced. We did manage to sort out an international banking issue with relatively little fuss.

Such a relaxing place to be. Tarhuna is a great property with fantasic views and its postion is perfect! Quiet and remote yet close enough to the nearest village of gairloch if you need to stock up on supplies. The house is fully kitted out with all you need for self catering, so do not hestitate to book this property for your highland break, you really wont be disappointed.

An amazing home from home. Very well maintained, absolutely spotless, and has everything you need for a relaxing break. We spent a week with the kids over Easter and they had an amazing time. They loved walking on the beach,playing games outside and seeing the lambs that had just been born. It was so nice to get them out of their city environment and to a place where so many adventures and memories were made. As parents, we didn't fear them playing outside as it was safe and with there being a fence around it, they were as free to roam as the sheep! Every evening we gathered on the sofa to watch the beautiful sunset and later on, they loved looking through the telescope to view the stars. It was an amazing experience to see them so excited. I'd highly recommend Tarhuna for the beautiful scenery and views... it was absolutely magical and everything a getaway should be. We will most definitely be returning!
