Coorie Cottage at Castaway Cove

We were fortunate enough to spend 10 days here at Nigel and Lou's fabulous cottage for our honeymoon. It is difficult to put into words quite how special this beautiful, remote space is. The cottage really does celebrate all things 'coorie' with exceptional attention to detail. Nigel and Lou are spectacular hosts, who were as helpful as could be. We were able to enjoy boat trips to Ullapool from Nigel, fresh lobster and langoustines cooked by Lou (along with delicious meringues!), use of their canoe on the loch, and demonstrations for both the hot tub and the fire! Thank you Nigel for showing me some new skills!! We cannot wait to go back and enjoy this stunning place once again. Thank you so much, Nigel and Lou, for making our honeymoon so special! Hard to describe just how magical this place is. A little haven in the Highlands. A beautiful setting at the end of a rough track (you'll be a high axle 4x4), where the cottage is in the grounds of the old inn. The cottage is cosy and quaint but with all the facilities you could wish, including the outdoor, log fired hut tub. The hosts, Nigel and Lou, were fabulous and very accommodating and helpful. If you're looking for seclusion and peace in stunning surroundings, there is almost certainly nowhere better.

I cant recommend Coorie Cottage enough! Our 4 night stay was absolutely perfect, I only wish we could have stayed longer. Lou and Nigel are fantastic hosts and the home made treats, langoustines delivered to the door and lifts over to Ullapool in the boat where all particularity appreciated. The cottage itself exceeded my expectations and is a perfect place to relax. Thank you Lou and Nigel, we hope to come and visit next year!
