We departed at 3pm on Star Quest with skipper Drew, it was mainly Pollock we were all catching, with my son catching the largest fish on board! with everyone getting a catch, we were all happy. Drew also took us out to see a pod of Dolphins which was interesting and nice to see. We payed 30 each for the trip and 10 each for rod and tackle hire. I was hoping to catch some Mackerel, with only 1 tiny Mackerel being caught. Going by the pictures on their FB page, not many Mackerel are being caught any more which is sad, and possibly a sign of the times, unless you are lucky enough to hit in to a shoal, 25 odd years ago on these types of trips you would be catching buckets loads, with some Mackerel reaching 4lbs/5lbs. Overall this is a good boat trip with plenty of sight seeing and fishing for the Pollock/Cod with some big ones lurking about, its all good fun.
