Seacrest Holiday Cottage

We have had our holidays in the marvellously-situated cottage on a number of occasions in recent years. The situation is idyllic, only yards from the beach with views over the Minch to the outer isles. The cottage has been tastefully upgraded with a modern kitchen and toilet facilities. It is ideal for two people looking for a holiday with opportunities for walking, climbing, the best scenery - so good for artists, plenty of interesting wildlife. We have been holidaying at Seacrest every summer for about 10 years. The cottage is warm and comfortable and has recently been completely refurbished, with a brand new kitchen and bathroom. We love many things about Seacrest, but mainly the sense of being on a private beach, as this means we are able to swim and launch our kayaks from right outside the house, and can then explore Gairloch bay and fish in the sea. If you walk up the lane for 2 minutes back to the road the stunning view of the mountains never fails to take your breath away, and there are many wonderful walks and bike rides in the area without needing to take the car. The cottage faces southwest so we have enjoyed countless beautiful sunsets, and every year have another load of photos to add to the collection! Our hosts could not be more helpful, and we enjoy seeing them every year and catching up with the friendly community in the area. Our holiday at Seacrest is in many ways the highlight of our year, and we look forward to returning in 2018.

Been coming here for the last 15 years or so and look forward to our two week stay every year, on a couple of occasions we have been twice a year. The location is just perfect could not get closer to the beach, views and sunsets are unbelievable. We love looking out for the otter, seal and we have seen a pine marten a few times on the beach, binoculars are a must. Since the cottage has been renovated it has made such a difference. We enjoy the walks and there are plenty places to visit all around Wester Ross. 5/5
