(Translated by Google) We went on an 11 day cruise last year. And the Orkney Islands were our last stop on this tour. Paul picked us participants up and we felt in very good hands with him from the first moment. He is a great guide who gave us a lot of knowledge about the island and showed us some very beautiful spots in the Orkneys. My most magical place was Birsey Lighthouse and the cliffs with the deep indented rocks. In the early afternoon Paul provided us with a delicious lunch with his regional products under a blue sky and the most beautiful sunshine. A perfect day! On a recent visit to Lerwick from our cruise ship Ambience, we, being a group of six, were greeted at the Port by Paul who escorted us as our guide around the Island. Paul is an excellent guide with very good knowledge of the island. To finish our trip he gave us all a gift pack of produce he and his wife Jane make. Thoroughly recommended.

I waited to post this until our 3 week British Isles and Northern Europe cruises were complete. After visiting 20 locations, hands down, JP Orkney provided the best shore tour for the entire trip. From the very start of planning our excursion, I was impressed. Their website is well done, Paul was prompt in all of his communications, and he provided an excellent list of sites to see. When we arrived in port, he was there waiting on us. We visited a multitude of sites and he was always patient as I took my pictures of everything. He was very knowledgeable about the sites as well as answering our constant questions about the Kirkwall area. And to round it off, he made sure we were back to the ship in plenty of time. Kirkwall is a beautiful place to visit and I could even imagine living there. Thank you, Paul, for the perfect visit and the jam was excellent. Bravo!

What a thrilling day we had with Paul. We arrived by cruise ship on a Sunday and I'm glad there were no car rentals available, because I would have gotten one and missed out on so much history. Paul picked us up at the cruise port and had a sign for us. We stepped into his comfortable, new electric Mercedes 9 passenger van. One price for up to 8 people. We didn't max out the van because of Covid concerns and we all wanted a window, but it worked out very reasonable for the four of us. Paul is well educated and quite witty. He never bores you, but just when you think there's nothing more, he seems to pull another bunnie out of his hat, to include some delicious sweets made on their farm. He brings the past to life and knows this Island like the back of his hand. I can't recommend his tour enough, it is off the charts fantastic!!
