A little car parking across from Kirktonhall. This sundial dates from 1717. It is a stone column carved into a multiple sundial erected by West Kilbride lad Professor Robert Simson - he was professor of Mathematics at Glasgow for 50 years. The monument is dedicated to his parents Agnes and John. The sundial shows symbols representing the various stages of life. Well worth a visit.
