Roast Lamb and gin, perfection! The lamb was well worth the wait of a delayed delivery due to the courier messing up, Nigel set my mind at ease that everything would be fine - and it was more than fine. The lamb was melt in the mouth delicious and the gin is very smooth. We order our special occasion meats from McCaskies and will continue to do so long into the future. Customer service is key, and Nigel and his team have this down to a tee. Any issues are dealt with promptly and courteously. Thank you Nigel, and to your team.

What a find . All the chicken mixes recommended. I have just cooked the chicken thai which is delicious. I purchased the owners own gin Supersonic which is great with lemon , lime or mango . Wish the shop was nearer to Edinburgh .

I spend on average 100 a week in this place, wont be doing it again! Went to the cafe for coffees after purchasing in the butcher as I do on a Saturday. Gave my takeaway order, paid and waited as two other customers (who came in after me) got their drinks, paid and left whilst I was still standing waiting on my two coffees! Got the order and it was wrong! When I said why it was wrong, the girl who made them then responded with so we do blah blahAs if her error was somehow my fault! My fault that I didnt know how many shots they used? I specified half shot followed by the words point five! That is clear enough regardless of how many shots you use! I pointed out that I had been specific and repeated what I said, she blamed the guy who took the orderI was then presented with one cup which had been reheated as was and had more chocolate powder added on, which just made this far sweeter than it should have been, we asked for two sugars, it tasted like four, the other was just half a cup of foam! After her error she then slammed the cups down at me, rolled her eyes and said theres your latte No apology, no smile, nothing but attitude! I told her I didnt ask for a side of attitude with my order and that I didnt appreciate her attitude. She couldnt care less and looked at me as though I was being meanAnother snowflake entitled teenager who need a swift lesson in customer service! SO! This establishment has now lost a cafe and a butcher customer as its snobbish attitude and favouritism of serving locals before other paying customers is absolutely disgusting! To add insult to injury, the coffees were horrible! One cup of foam and one cup of a sickly sugary mess! The service last weekend was incredibly slow from another snotty teenager who decided to clean the unit before making my coffees! Another one who just put the cups down without a hello, or a smile! This weekends experience just topped it all off and made our decision not to go back and give them our hard earned money! The butchers in Greenock are far superior in customer service, they too chat and show respect to their customers! These snobby, entitled people are not grateful for your business and dont deserve it!
