Not paying mg carers when they are meant to, never answer emails, no phone number to contact someone on. This is now ridiculous time for a change of payroll provider as I have now had enough taken this further.

I appreciate the latest situation that SPAEN have been "bailed" out with the help of Scottish Gov but I am very concerned that in the meantime the ability to resume any kind of service appears to be non existent. I work for a small charity in Perth supporting people with a disability and we have been contacted regarding yet another issue with PA's not getting paid, no response to contact and concerns that they have access to bank accounts etc. It would be really useful to put out a holding statement about what is going on as it is now getting close to taking legal action for one of our members. I agree that an organisation of this remit is required but it has to be fit for purpose and doing what it should be doing otherwise it would be better dissolved and a new set up put in place that is able to deliver.

The worst payroll service I've ever dealt with. No one answers the phone, if your lucky you might get the odd reply to an email, even when emailed to ask for a call no one calls back. This is the 3rd time my figures have been sent wrong to HMRC. The company is an absolute joke! I'm lucky my employer has taken the decision to go to a different company. Would suggest that anyone looking to go with spaen to give it a wide berth!!

THIS IS THE WORST company ever. I am enrolled in the pension scheme but I have been waiting on my contributions for more than 6 months. They take the money way from the pay slip and then do not process it to my own pension. Do not know where my contributions are gone. I've contacted them MANY times, by phone, email, fb. I have NEVER gotten a reply. Do not use this service. It's the worst.

If it was possible to put less than one star I would. I have had the WORST experience with SPAEN. They make so many mistakes and when you try to call, email etc they will never pick up or respond. They have made my job as a carer much harder than it needs to be and I can't even expect pay on time - (last 'festive' period I had to wait 3 months for pay) and when I do finally receive pay, money is taken without explanation. I hope I never have to deal with this company again.
