BOOK WITH CAUTION!! Had our party in here recently and would never recommend to anyone! When booking we spoke to Paul who advised only the bigger hall was available on the date we would like, they had this on offer at the time for 99 which we thought was great. He then explained there needs to be 100 people minimum and the hall holds 190, if we dont meet the 100 then we wouldnt get our 100 deposit back, we then said we didnt know as we dont know if we would meet the 100 minimum, he then told us if its slightly under this is fine and we would still get it back as long as there is no damages, should have got this in writing! Forward to the day of the party, I had messaged previously to find out when we would be allowed access to decorate and they kept saying well message nearer the time to let you know, they never did so I messaged them to be told we can get in from 3. Little did we know that what this actually means is you can get in from 3-4, not once was this explained, we were told from 3. When we showed up at quarter to we were greeted by Paul again with his very rude attitude and simply told well you were to be here at 3. There was a lady in cleaning who then had to stay back a bit to let us in (she was not even advised she would be working this day let alone that she would be staying late for us) we felt awful but had management told us 3-4 we would have been there earlier. Party ended up great, drinks are cheap, the dj was also fantastic couldnt fault him. The bar staff then went round later in the evening with a clicker (keep in mind some folk had left but this point) and told us we had 93 people and would likely get our deposit back. Then messaged the page the following day to be told we had 89 (plucking numbers out of thin air?) he then confirmed with the bar staff it was actually 93, I explained we had 97 and a few folk with kids left before they counted. We were told well tough its not 100, I explained what Paul had told us when booking and we were told well hes off just now and will get in touch when he is back, we havent heard since. By the looks of reviews this is common practice for them and they obviously need that extra 100 to keep business afloat. Please be very careful when booking and dont take anything they say at face value!
