Terrible. I've no heating and phoned vital at 12.48pm. I've then had to call back another 4 occasions afterwards up until 10pm. At 10pm I asked for the engineer to at least give me a call with a guestamated time he would arrive. It is now 11pm and I've still not heard from anybody. At 5.30am this morning it was -7 and I had no heating

This company are an absolute joke. Me and my 6 month pregnant wife have been without heating or hot water for three days. We initially phoned to report the problem and were told to contact our housing association so that they can then report it to vital so we did. Our housing association informed us that they do not report anything to vital and that we need to phone them back and explain this (just remember its about 20 minutes on hold each time) we then phoned back and were told that there was literally nothing they could do and that we need to get back in touch with housing again and get a works order generated. !!!!LITERALLY NOT MY JOB!!!!!! Anyway we did this as they didnt seem to have any concern for our situation so if we didnt do their job for them then who will eh ? Eventually we had an emergency works order number given to us that we then had to wait on hold again to give to them only to be told that we couldnt give them the number it had to come from Dunedin. Oh hurray another huge wait on the phone. We were then informed that everything was finally in place for an emergency engineer to come out.(2 days without heating or hot water) another night/day passes and we phone vital back only to find out that nothing had been actioned and they had no history of any correspondence with Dunedin. After another 20 minute wait on hold they then tell us to top up online which we did and it did not work so another 20 minute hold later they said they will do it form their end?????SURELY THIS IS WHAT YOU WOULD DO STRAIGHT AWAY IF YOUR CUSTOMER IS FREEZING TO DEATH AND CANT WASH????? anyway they said phone back if it doesnt work. We waited and waited and still nothing so we phoned back only to be told that its impossible for us to to top up or them to top up while the meter is broken, who would have figured eh ? Complete waste of time. They have now said that we are on their list and someone will be out whenever they can. We then get a notification to say that someone will attend our property tomorrow at mid day so that will be four and a half days with no hot water or heating!!!!AND THATS IF ANYONE ACTUALLY TURNS UP!!!!! To say that these guys have no idea what they are doing is wrong because that would still imply they are doing something in the first place.
