A wonderful spot to bring a small group of young paddlers to get a taste of a canoe camping trip. The composting toilets have to be some of the best composting toilets in Scotland!!?? The tent pitches are excellent. It is almost entirely litter free. The walk around the island to the summit and the burial ground is spectacular and interesting.

While planning our WHW adventures, we discovered this small, tranquil place by accident and immediately booked in for one night. (Booking in advance is mandatory, otherwise camping is not allowed!). The price was reasonable and everything you need on the island is available: - a small camping spot - Tables and benches - a toilet - Fire bowls for self-organized (bring your own or pre-booked, no collection allowed) wood After the departure of the last ship, there were two other campers on the island with us and we had a great, very quiet night. Again and again it was possible to observe deer, which even dared to go between the tents in the silence! In addition to the camping, the island also has some other beautiful places to offer, which we unfortunately could not walk on, as our feet were too badly damaged from the forced march here. All in all a beautiful place that I would love to visit again! Then maybe even for several days. (Original) Schne kleine Insel und der perfekte Platz zum Campen! Whrend der Planung unserer WHW-Abenteuers entdeckten wir eher zufllig diesen kleinen beschaulichen Ort und buchten uns sofort fr eine Nacht ein. (Buchung ist im Voraus zwingend erforderlich, sonst darf nicht gecampt werden!). Der Preis war angemessen und es ist alles erforderliche auf der Insel vorhanden: - ein kleiner Camping Spot - Tische und Bnke - eine Toilette - Feuerschalen fr selbst organisiertes (mitgebracht oder im Voraus gebucht, es darf keines gesammelt werden) Holz Mit uns befanden sich nach der Abfahrt des letzten Schiffes noch zwei andere Camper auf der Insel und wir hatten eine tolle, sehr ruhige Nacht. Immer wieder war es mglich hier Rehe zu beobachten, welche sich in der Stille sogar bis zwischen die Zelte trauten! Neben dem Camping hat die Insel auch noch einige andere schne Pltze zu bieten, die wir leider nicht begehen konnten, waren unsere Fe vom gewaltmarsch hierher doch zu sehr geschunden. Alles in allem ein wunderschner Platz den ich gern wieder besuchen wrde! Dann vielleicht sogar fr mehrere Tage.
