Young girl at till too busy on phone to take bets and was watching the television on screen behind counter , did not seem to have any grasp of betting at all , had to explain a trixie was to her . Worst of all had to ask for the commentary to be switched on as staff were watching the chase on stv , the young chubby girl behind the counter seemed genuinely angry at my request . Have never experienced a bookies like it , the staff , particularly the chubby girl , seem to think they are providing some sort of service to the community by being their and the customer service is a disgrace at best , would not advise anyone to use this shop , do yourself a favour and use the William hill or ladbrokes that are close by instead , far more professional and welcoming , which is a shame as the odds and promotions are better on betfred , but it's just not worth the hassle.

5th May 2018 Store manager refused to accept a 1 bet from a customer with Downs Syndrome, claiming he was vulnerable. Was verbally aggressive then verbally abusive to both the man putting on the bet and the gentlemen acting as his carer, before throwing them out of his store. Carer informed me both were regulars at the store and all staff, including the manager, regularly took the gentleman's 1 weekly bet so were bemused as to why this was suddenly stopped. Both men were verbally abused in front of several customers, leaving the young man with Downs Syndrome visibly upset. As someone who works in the care industry, stripping this young man of both choice and respect in this manner is frankly unacceptable. The manager should be absolutely ashamed of himself and is an embarrassment to any company. Absolutely shameful!

Nowhere near as busy as its neighbouring rival. Modern shop, decent condition and size, clean and tidy.
