Caledonian Hotel

We came here for dinner at 5.45 but hadn't booked so I expect we were lucky to get a table. However we were given a small table in the middle of the floor quite near the door so everything someone came into the restaurant there was a cold draught. Also there were 6 members of staff standing around the pillar next to our table which made us feel uncomfortable. Surely they could all be placed around the restaurant doing something rather than just chatting. This spoiled our dining experience which was a shame because the food was really good.

Lovely hotel. A couple of very minor niggles in the room which had clearly been recently refurbished. Nothing at all that affected our stay detrimentally but the staff were mortified and when I came home they'd refunded us our stay! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and would stay again. All places get niggles after refurbs so don't let this put you off but the fact they refunded us shows how willing they are to please.
