Sadly very neglected but what a look into our past from the sides of graves. Pity there is no finance now to oreserve our history. We could ot find Robert Thain's grave but it may have been there?

Neat little place. I love visiting old churches and grave yards. If you do to, I would recommended it

(Translated by Google) Interesting to see the ancient ruins and tombs. I may have family in the holy field but I couldn't find it. (Original) Interesante a ver las ruinas y las tumbas antiguas. Puede que tenga yo familia en el campo santo pero no la encontr.

The ruined St Congan's Church in Turriff stands at the east end of the graveyard surrounded by graves dating from the 17th Century onwards. The east gable of the church is crowned by an unusual double birdcage bellcote, the clock below was a later addition from nearby Carnousie. Lots of blocked window and door openings show how the church was altered during its lifetime. A real gem, often overlooked, well worth visiting! Free to visit. Not wheelchair accessible. No on site car parking, but lots of free parking nearby.
