While on vacation in Scotland, I really wanted to pet a lamb. We reached out to Down on the Farm after finding them on Facebook. Carole set up time for us to meet with Isobel, her daughter who has a flock of sheep and lamb. Isobel taught us so much about her sheep and let me help feed one of them. Isobel cares so much for her animals, it was lovely to see and learn from her. Matthew, let us see the cows and calves that had recently been born and Thomas brought out his ferret for me to hold. Our overall experience was wonderful and we highly recommend visiting this farm. Next time we visit Scotland, we would love to stay in their Glamping pods.

I had a lady from Colorado who wanted to see a real live farm in Scotland while in Aberdeenshire. Matthew and Carol gave Tara an amazing tour of the cows, calves and the sheep at Down on the Farm. The highlight for her was handling the ferrets which was most unexpected. We were treated to cream and jam scones in the bothy before we left which was top class. Overall a great visit and well worth it. Alasdair Brodie Tours By Brodie - Select Scotland Tours.

It's always an amazing time staying at Down on the Farm. Breathtaking view, bonfire and cozy pod. They also had the cutest loo which I've never seen elsewhere. One of our favourite relaxing getaways. Carole and Matt together with their kids are very welcoming, making sure that the stay is comfortable. Carole is just a message away if you need anything. They even introduced us to their lambs. Such a wonderful experience! Nearby activities: They have a very beautiful farm with cows, sheep and peacocks. It is also located near mounthooly doocot and if you want, you can trek along the coast to see the amazing waters closely.

This was my second time visiting but the first time with kids. We had a fabulous time even though the weather wasn't the best (at least it stayed dry). Carole is a lovely host and pretty much left us to our own devices after checking to see if we had everything we needed. In our group there were 3 adults and 2 kids and we spent the whole time laughing, playing games, sitting round the fire and exploring the area. We went down to New Aberdour Beach to visit the caves and we went to the Lighthouse Museum in Fraserburgh. Great location to get away from it all and we will definitely be back. Thanks Again :)
