During the year 2020 the world was hit by a Global Pandemic and we were in the midst of booking all our wedding suppliers. Safe to say this wasn't an easy task not being able to physically meet anyone. Ashley Coombes' online portfolio stood out from many we poured over. We wanted someone who would record the day as it happens, we knew we didn't want too many staged photographs - we were looking for more of a narrative to tell the days events as they occurred. It was for those reasons we chose Ashley to do our wedding photography. The day finally came July this year and of course Ashley's photos did not disappoint. He recorded the day so accurately through his photography, kept the magical and emotional moments alive and which will now forever stay that way. We can look through our photos for years to come and still feel the same warm glow of contentment we had the day we said 'I do' Ashley, we cannot thank you enough for the wonderful images you have captured of one of the most important days in our lives. Even offering to tie the Father-of-the-Bride's bow tie, when he din't think he could. Must have been the nerves for him! You truly are a credit to your craft Ashley, we hope that many more future couples needing a superb, down to earth, caring and unique photographer - only have to read these reviews and know that you are perfect for their wedding. Ashley was fantastic from our first Zoom session during COVID right through to delivering our images extremely fast after our wedding. He came recommended and his portfolio really stood out amongst others we had looked at as his style was very informal, I didn't notice him snapping away most of the time! Ashley worked faultlessly with changing plans (last minute ceremony venue change and arrival of two babies to the wedding party!) on what was a very windy day! His choice of where to take us on to the dunes for our couple shots was so perfect and made for some very dramatic images. Keeping us to schedule, reminding us that we had forgotten the confetti throwing and that it was getting late and we still hadn't done our first dance was very much appreciated!
