A wonderful guest house with newly refurbished rooms. John and Janice are exceptional hosts! Beautiful homemade shortbread, an amazing breakfast, they couldnt have done any more to make us feel more welcome during our mid West Highland Way recuperation stop. John even dried out boots and wet gear in the boiler room for us. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you so much!!

Cannot rate the place higher. We were wet to the very core when we arrived half way through the WHW. This place had everything we needed to dry out and get a good nights sleep. John even put our boots and wet waterproofs in the boiler room so they were dry and cosy the next day. Food was fantastic - John is a talented chef, as well as kind with a wonderful dry wit! Really lifted our spirits when most needed!

(Translated by Google) It was my husband's third and my second time staying with John. We again enjoyed his delicious extensive breakfast. I chose, among other things, the vegetarian sausage (Linda Mac. Carthy). Yummy!!! Lovely bed, cozy room, excellent shower and a very friendly welcome. Nice to see that the birds get mood lighting at their feeding table at dusk. This certainly says something about John's hospitality. (Original) Voor mijn man was het de derde en voor mij de tweede keer dat we bij John logeerden. We hebben opnieuw genoten van zijn heerlijk uitgebreide ontbijt. Ik koos o.a. het vega worstje (Linda Mac. Carthy). Lekker!!! Heerlijk bed, knusse kamer, prima douche en een zeer vriendelijke ontvangst. Leuk om te zien dat de vogeltjes bij schemering sfeerverlichting krijgen bij hun voedertafel. Dit zegt zeker wat over de gastvrijheid van John. Food & drinks: Het ontbijt is bijzonder goed!

Can't fault this place. If you want to stay in a great location, in a lovely old house full of character, sleep in comfortable beds, eat excellent breakfast, and receive top service from John and Janice, this is the place to go. John was brilliant and provided everything I needed - even hanging up my wet and muddy hiking gear in the boiler room and handing them back dry the next day. Sadly, great family-run businesses like this are hard to find these days, but this one is a hidden gem, and I will definitely be back.
