I love to visit the Steamship Cafe but unfortunately today I was a bit dissapointed. I ordered sandwiches and tea, and to be honest the sandwiches were not great. I also feel that the cafe is lacking a bit in its food selection. It was quite busy when we were there and I couldn't fault the service. Staff were friendly and the food didn't take long to arrive. It was just a shame about the lack of options and the quality.

Lovely people, great views, very, very good prices, and solid food The services was wonderful, very friendly, they even put more wood on the fire when they could see we were cold Its a nice place to be in and the food was good for a cafe. The soup was delicious The pricing was ridiculously cheap, especially as there is no competition in the area and they could charge whatever they want 2 teas, soup of the day with lots of bread and butter and a cheese toastie was less than 17 Bathrooms were also clean A welcome place after a walk around the Loch

Cafe was nice inside with nice views but the afternoon tea sandwiches werent great. Cheap bread & meat with only one veggie option (1/4 of an egg sandwich between 3 people) - not great with one of the party being veggie meaning they didnt get to enjoy it. Sandwich fillings left a lot to be desired (formed chicken slices & lettuce, formed beef slices, chicken/tuna Mayo). Would have preferred to select our own preferences as we left some to waste. Cakes were ok but werent 1 each just a little mix of whatever must have been left in the cafe. The scones were ok but overall was pretty disappointing. No allergen info asked for on booking - not sure if this is something the caf provide info on normally but wasnt on the itison booking or requested on booking over the phone. Vegetarian options: 1/4 of an egg mayo sandwich between 3
