Lovely place. Views are stunning, cabin is great. Good cooking facilities and equipment. Could possibly do with a full size fridge for a family. But you can make it work. Some people may want to sit outside later of an evening so the rental of a patio heater might be a nice idea? Loads of towels for showers and hot tub which is great. Would definitely look at booking again.

Been to The Strathyre Forest holiday cabins on numerous occasions and still love it. Comfortable, well equipped accomodation and the staff are always friendly and helpful. There is a range of activities available on site for an extra fee, or there are lots of other things to do or see in the area. There are walking and cycling trails around the site suitable for all levels so you can pick and choose your routes according to your ability. Callander is the closest town and has all the essential amenities . First time back in 5years and it's all still good. Love this place.

Have been coming here for 10 years now, with the number of visits into the double figures and we've seen a lot of changes over the years, but the basic premise has remained the same. Well presented cabins, in a wonderful setting with all the basics that you could need. In all our visits, we've only had one where we weren't happy, but that was due to getting a pet friendly cabin (we don't have pets) and it smelt of wet dog and was in need of upgrading, lots went wrong. But we couldn't fault the staff, we've always been very well looked after. All the other visits have been excellent, the cabins are clean and tidy, the hot tubs are great and the wood burning stoves add an extra touch during the colder months. The thing to remember, this isn't centre parks. There's no swimming pool and central village... Its 40 odd cabins, orientated in such a way that you'd only think there's 6 or 7, there a central reception with bike hire, some hot food cooked to order, and basics in the shop (and souvenirs), you can go on ranger guided walks, go canoeing, do archery... Or just switch off (limited mobile signal), do nothing and relax! Here's to another 10 years of visits... UPDATE: due to reasons and COVID, it's been 5 years since we last visited, and I'm pleased to say it's still great here. Everything has been well maintained, the hub/retreat has some more facilities (beer on tap, coffee and a bit more selection of hot food), but most importantly... It's still the place to switch off and de-stress!
