The Old Manse

We stayed at The Old Manse as a base for my daughters bridal party before and after her wedding at the Village Hall. It was everything we hoped for and more. Jo and Anthony are such laid back hosts that welcome you into their home with such grace that you instantly feel at home. On the wedding morning Jo supplied tea and toast upstairs whilst the mayhem of makeup and hair was underway then laid out our requested mid morning breakfast in the Conservatory. She moved furniture around and supplied an extra table for the makeup artist. Nothing was too much trouble. On late return from our wedding that evening they had lit the fire pit on the terrace incase we wanted to stay up late and then we were all welcomed with a great breakfast on the Sunday morning. My daughter adored it and the chilled vibe that ran throughout our stay was just what she wanted. They really are the most attentive hosts and will make you feel at home during your stay

Lovely house with a really welcoming couple. We had a toddler and they were more than accomodating. Really felt like staying at a home away from home. Breakfast was excellent; cereal, fruit and a really well done cooked breakfast, fresh coffee, couldn't have asked for more. Location is ideal for visiting Loch Lomand and Loch Katrine. Really handy is a nearby community pub for a car less meal out.

If you choose this location you will be happy about your decision immediately upon arrival. The hosts are an absolutely lovely couple with kindness an a welcoming aura eminating from the moment you step from your vehicle. The building is indeed stunning, far more so than pictures do justice whilst having a stunning interior design that gives you the feeling of having travelled to visit your favourite extended family in the country. The rooms are very spacious, spotless with all the comforts you could possibly require. Likewise the bathrooms are clean and tidy, high quality and tastefully decorated. If you book the ensuite double room then you'll enjoy a royal experience with a great bathtub in the centre of the bathroom along with stand alone shower. Breakfast was offered and the options were plenty. Our party of four had our hunger thoroughly satisfied. I'm not sure what else to say other than to thank our hosts for a truly sublime weekend. Easily our best AirBNB experience to date.
