I was on holiday in Tobermory for a week and came down with an unpleasant case of tonsillitis. The surgery were excellent, they registered me as a temporary resident and I saw a doctor the next day who wrote me a prescription. Couldn't fault them.

We were referred to this GP by the urgent care centre on Mull and by our local GP and they refused to see us. Between me and my wife we had around 125 tic bites, and 15 heads that were embedded. Their only recommendation was to monitor the bites and "use vaseline" for the heads. Vaseline would obviously be useless for tics that had all but their heads removed. The GP didn't even take our call but was feeding through that useless information through the receptionist. We went back to the urgent medical centre and fortunately they treated us there. Not a high quality service.

A couple of months ago following a long discussion with the doctor regarding a worrying cough which in my mind had the worrying potential to develope into something more sinister. I was prescribed a trial run of Omeprozol with a request to contact at the end of the course. Rang this morning to be told ,ahh she's not back for a couple of months but you can talk to today's doctor. No I said I would really like to speak to the original one, or I'll feel like I'm back on the magic roundabout.. Well the doctor today is permanent so why not talk to her, I don't feel like involving another doctor , how permanent is she. She's here for a month then the other 2 take over for a month. Do you want to talk to her. No point really. Well it's your choice. No it's not my choice it's your system. Well what do you want to do. Nothing, I'll just not bother. ---------- Bring on privatisation the sooner the better
