I recently visited Ochil Eyes for the first time and cannot speak highly enough of the service I received. The staff were friendly and spent a lot of time with me, making sure I didnt feel rushed into making a decision. The eye test was thorough and the optician took the time to talk me through each stage. My new glasses are brilliant and I was happy with the price. Thanks again.

After years of taking my daughter to a corporate opticians and not having quite the personal touch, we visited ochil eyes. Sam was very friendly and helpful in the shop and Richard was absolutely fantastic with my daughter! They have a great range of glasses for children to choose from! Definitely worth visiting for a family as my husband has also been checked there for years and praises the practice after every visit and loves the range of glasses for men, Susie is great at getting it right for help choosing your new frame!

For the last 10 years I have used franchise opticians. It was mid summer 2021 and due to CV19 I decided to go to a more local optician. The staff were friendly. They eye test was good taking the same time as the franchised shop. Only difference was there was no checks to the back of my eyes. All was good. Due to a sensory disorder I need the best varifocals and the widest frame available. I was shown an example and yep the frames were great. Then - A bit of paper was turned over to reveal a cost of 380. I said that I cannot justify that cost. I asked for my prescription to take elsewhere. I had glasses made from the Ochil Eyes Prescription with the highest quality varifocals. at 180. From the start there was a problem. For Diving - OK but a bit blury in the far distance. Seeing my car dash/ reading - OK. Now I began to have problems. I use subtitles on my TV due to tinnitus. The subtitles were blurry. Annoying me I went back to the Optometrist. The special measurements were rechecked and all was ok. I could read a number plate etc... 4 weeks later I'm still having problems with the subtitles. I return to the Optometrist. The prescription is checked again. The optometrist says "There are no details for intermediate sight test here. That is the problem." I went back to Ochil Eyes and spoke of the issues I was having. I was told, " it is best to get your glasses made where you get your eye test done". Not so friendly s before. Now I recall I got the print out of my prescription after I rejected the overpriced glasses. So either the intermediate sight test was not done or not included. One or the other. Now 14 months later, with straining to read subtitles my vision has greatly deteriorated in reading & the subtitles & I need to enlarge my PC screen or I cannot see well enough. Glades from incomplete prescriptions damages ones eyesight. I need a new eye exam, somewhere else & will get the same place to make up my varifocals as,as advised by O.E. Having a test and glasses mage up from elsewhere, means that i'm in the situation that I have NO right of redress. Any typos -It is because my vision has deteriorated so fast I'm struggling to see. I won't be back there again. Use CTR and + to enlarge PC screen text and CTR and - to reduce screen text and CTR and 0 to bring the screen text back to standard. Fed up of doing this but now I can't read text on my smartphone so I must buy new glades. Not happy !
