I've travelled a lot over the years and rarely have I stayed in such a beautiful place. I stayed for four nights as part of a songwriting retreat - from the minute I drove up to The Hollies it felt like home. From the pool room, to the massive kitchen/diner, to the bed linen to the gorgeous grounds, Graeme and Lorraine have thought of everything to make your stay perfect. And the view! Well, to wake up, look out over the Kyles of Bute to see seals swimming by, was something very special. The village itself is lovely, people are welcoming and even the drive to get to Tighnabruaich is spectacular - I had to keep stopping to admire the views. If you're looking for somewhere to stay that's different and luxurious, this is the place for you.

This is a wonderful gem of a house. We had 18 family members across the generations for a special celebration and it was beyond comfortable, it was properly luxurious. It's even better than it looks in the photos. The rooms are all beautiful and we'll appointed, the communal areas are huge and furnished to a really high quality. I only hesitate to recommend because I don't want it to become so popular I can't book again in future years! The area is fantastic too. I've been going for a few years in all weather and I'm never stuck for something to do. Beautiful part of the world with something for everyone.

Wow , what can I saw about The Hollies apart from absolutely fantastic! We were 18 of us in Tighnabruaich for a week for a family event, with ages ranges from 8 to 88..and The Hollies easily catered everybody needs. No stone has been unturned with regards to the upgrade of the old hotel. Every room has something really special about it. ,mainly the stunning views across the water but the decor is also just right. All the furniture and fittings ooze quality without being overly ostentatious, bathrooms are just superb and everything just works perfectly. The main kitchen is the heart of the house, with a huge dinning table to to meet the need of large family. There has clearly been a lot of time invested to ensure that you can easily cook up a storm for a large party. Two massive fridges and two dishwasher are a god send. The games room took a bit of a hammering with the kids and everybodys pool skills were sharpened up that's for sure. We visited The Hollies in December, therefore it was just a tad nippy to get out and use all the facilities in the garden but we are all going back in the summer time as with all fell in love with the place In summary, if you're looking for a property with absolutely beautiful surroundings then look no further. It was an absolutely doddle to get there too... and we all loved the wee ferry trip across from Gourock. Also, ten minutes drive away is is Ostel Bay Beach, make a wee trip there as you will simply not believe you are in still in Scotland. Cheers Ross
