        The old optician, Mr Henderson, was both nice and VERY VERY good. The new chap is a nice chap, but incompetent and not helpful. I had contact lenses that were fine for 5 years. As a result of a series of (rather bizarre) events I lost 2 pairs and my left lens. Just the right remaining. I can't see or drive. I asked for a left lens whilst I was re-tested and new lenses made up. Refused! So I went along with what was on offer. Lenses arrived for a fitting (long time!). Neither the prescription OR THE FIT WERE CORRECT. I have SHEEP that could have done a better job. His suggestion? Go without a lens for around 6 weeks whilst Mr Incompetent tried to get things right! Guess what? New optician and a formal complaint of Gross Incompetence to the General Optical Council. Avoid at all costs!!!!

        On holiday in the area and my fiance lost a screw from her glasses ,we popped in here and it was replaced quickly and with no charge ,thank you very much

        Very friendly helpful team, Graham does a very thorough test and explains what he's doing in a way that's easy to understand, then out you come and Carole takes over. What a great asset to our local community having such professionalism available without taking the long road south.
