Pitcairn McLean Research Ltd

Have tried on numerous occasions to contact this company on behalf of my mother. Even visited the site in Dunfermline where they were based. Noone at this address was willing to pass comment on this company!! I assume from the address they are now working from home. They claim they have a large number of calls . No surprise as they don't reply to any messages left on answerphone or reply to emails. Perhaps if they kept clients updated they'll wouldn't be inundated with requests for information from very frustratined customers. Perhaps this company needs to employ moe staff to assist with research as I notice Mr Pitcairn resigned in 2029.

Now been 6 years and 3 months since first contact. Same as everyone else no contact no replies. Was told in January 2020 that the estate was now coming to a conclusion but another company were involved. A visit to the registered office in Dunfermline is now next step then the police.

1st contacted by this lot October 2018 about my estranged aunts estate and it still isn't settled. I have emailed and sent a registered letter asking for information with not one reply. I am executor of the estate. In Feb 2021 myself and them got a document to sign from the solicitors for the funds to be released to the beneficiaries. The solicitor says Pitcairn McLean didn't return their copy. That's the last I heard and I'm still waiting. Update 14/12/2022 I have still not been able to contact or heard anything from them. The solicitor is going to appoint another geneologist which will be a cost to the estate although this lot won't be getting their full amount.

I am disgusted with the way Debbie has treated any enqiries into the account . At first its Covid , then its my mother died , then its the insurance company wont release the funds . I called and spoke with Debbie many times and continued to get more lies .I think it may be time to have the Lo cal fraud squad to make some enquiries we are now in the fifth year of this and cant get any answers . Many of my family have called and everyone gets a different excuse . Im afraid that fraud may be afoot ( just saying) I am totally disgusted with what is going on
