Kinnettles Mansion

Our group of 15 stayed at Kinettles Mansion over a weekend in February 2023 for a Hen Weekend. The property is absolutely stunning and had everything we needed for our group. The kitchen was fully equipped with appliances, crockery, glasses and utensils, alongside everything you needed to cook and clean up for a large group (including basic oils, seasonings and tea). The bedrooms were all spacious and beautifully decorated with comfortable beds, high quality bedding and ample storage. The added benefit of having en-suite bathrooms for every bedroom was wonderful, and we had no problems with hot water or heating over the weekend. The lounge and dining spaces were gorgeous, and comfortably fit our group of 15. We personally had no use for the large red room/ballroom upstairs but it looked lovely. The cinema space was great, although there werent enough seats for our full group, but we made it work with people sitting on the aisle or floor below the seating. The hot tub was in the perfect spot and fit 8 of us comfortably! Such a nice addition and very easy to use. There were very few negative aspects of our stay at Kinettles Mansion. We were awoken at around 8am by construction works happening nearby the property, and although this is something the host cannot do anything about, its important to note if youre planning on sleeping in. There were no works on the Sunday. My only other problem we encountered was with the lack of information regarding the property upon arrival. The Wi-Fi was easy to use and worked well, however the instructions for this were really the only information regarding the workings of the house. We struggled to find the light switches for outside the front of the property, and had no luck with the integrated sound system within the house, both problems that could be rectified easily with instructions. We also had the electricity in the lounge trip during our stay. I understand that this is an old property, and we were cooking breakfast with the toaster, kettle and microwave plugged in the lounge, with heaters running also. This wouldnt have been a problem if we knew where the fuse box was in the house, or how to access it. After hours of searching, we ended up having to wait till the Chef we booked (East Neuk Chef - would highly recommend) turned up to cook the evening meal who happened to have the hosts number, as they did not respond to my message on Air BnB. Overall, our stay at Kinettles Mansion was wonderful, the property itself is exceptional and perfect for a large group looking to stay in Luxury near St Andrews.
