Walking along the Fife Coastal Path in June, we completed the Walk by a stay at the Lillian May B&B in Newport on Tay. The Lillian May is beautiful and a wonderful way to end a long coastal walk. The owner and host was warm and great to meet and talk to. The entire B&B is pristine and the decor is set to the love of golf...a great thing to see. The room I was given was spectacular. It was huge and faced the River and view of Dundee. The bed was king sized, the bathroom was enormous and (after long days of hiking), the hot shower was nonstop. The morning breakfast was a terrific. We were given a ride the next morning to Dundee by our host...and to catch the bus back to Edinburgh. Our appreciation and highest respects to our host and the wonderful stay.

If there were 6 stars for service and the accommodation I'd given them. We were stunned by the beautiful house that Jackie named after her late grand mother Lillian May. My jaw dropped seeing the twin room with ensuite bathroom (including shower and jacuzzi bath). The view from all sides of the house is fabulous with the back of the house overlooking the garden which covers the back road (no noice with windows closed) and the front overlooking the sea. Me being the millenial I am, I enjoyed a delicious avocado toast in the morning with poached eggs (next to my order of pancakes with seasonal fruit - too good to skip). Jackie is an incredible host. After mentioning spontaneously that we were thinking about playing golf after walking past a golf course so often on our Five Coastal Path hike, she offered to take us golfing. We didn't have the appropriate attire to be able to play on the St Andrews course so she took us to a nearby driving range where we could enjoy attempting to play golf. Fancy a stay here? Ring Jackie ahead and see if you can organise a golftrip with her as you're staying in the heart of the golf area in Scotland.

Stayed for one night in late June 2019 after finishing walking the Fife Coastal Path. Excellent facilities and host was more than helpful as regards eating out that evening and kindly transported us to Dundee to a fine recommended restaurant. All facilities required required for a more than comfortable stay. Immaculately clean throughout with super shower/bath facilities. More than adequate tea/coffee making provisions. We have used B&B for over 20 years throughout British Isles whilst walking trails and cannot think this one has been bettered during that time. One minor enhancement, might we suggest consideration is given to providing a small packet of biscuits with the tea/coffee provisions, as we feel that most guests would welcome such after travelling and prior to their having a later evening meal.
