        Tain is Tain, normal wee town.

        The old traditional railway buildings remain and it houses a restaurant. Although the station is not manned it is well kept and looked after. Once you have arrived in Tain you have a choice you can go over the footbridge and walk out the links which is well worth a walk. The other option is to walk into town which is only five minutes on foot. There is shelter in bad weather and there is a digital train timetable.
