Zoe Davidson Jewellery

Zoe designed three stacking rings for me, using old jewellery owned by my late mum. She did the most amazing job, giving a whole new life to the gems which is lovely. The design process was really enjoyable and Zoe an absolute delight to work with.

We visited Zoe's workshop when we were in Orkney. She makes beautiful jewellery and when we got home we ordered earrings and a ring (for a man) for our 30th wedding anniversary. Zoe made them in very good time and they were beautifully wrapped. Zoe is a very efficient business woman as well as an extremely talented artist.

Inspired by an article I read which said that the earliest piece of jewellery found in this country was a pierced periwinkle shell discovered amongst some Neolithic remains I shared it with Zoe and asked her if she could create me a pierced silver periwinkle to wear as a pendant. I found the concept of a modern version of this ancient idea very moving. And now I have it! Its incredibly beautiful in its simplicity and I shall wear it from now on as a talisman. Thank you Zoe, you knew exactly what I wanted and I am absolutely delighted.

I contacted Zoe out of the blue about a large bespoke piece that would require significant time and resources to complete and my request was met with unparalleled enthusiasm. Once we discussed details, expectations and cost, a deposit was made and she went to work. I am in the United Sates so commissioning a piece of this magnitude overseas required trust and communication, something Zoe excelled at during the months-long project. The Pictish Artifact was so significant that I ventured to Orkney to acquire it personally. Upon arrival in Stromness I was greeted with royal hospitality at her shop and home by her friends and family. The craftsmanship of the piece is exemplary, with the engravings and polishing performed to perfection. I was delighted to receive a wonderful handcrafted case that I can display the massive beast in when not worn. I was able to show it to a family friend in the US that is a retired jeweler and they were astounded by how magnificent the chain appeared and praised the work that must have gone into making it. I am fortunate to have encountered Zoe and her skills as I now have an heirloom piece that is beautiful and very functional. It was impressive to wear it through Scotland, Iceland, and the US on my journey home from an unforgettable adventure.
