Stayed here on a side tour of motorcycling the NC500, we were met by Doris (the owner/manager I think)Very friendly and helpful, room was adequate, great location for the pubs in Stromness, we eat in the Ferry Inn Stromness, great atmosphere and food, Doris cooked our breakfast in the morning, full English was very good indeed, she also let me cuddle her Border Terriers as I was missing mine, would definitely book again if visiting Orkney.

We were here a year ago, a group of four. The room is OK, but the host is not very friendly. She gets up early and asks us if we left the garbage outside the door. But I didn't see her ask the guy in the back. In the evening when we wanted to eat dinner, we went across the street and ordered Chinese food. We asked her if she could use the dining room and clean it up. She said no, Chinese food is greasy and sticky. Finally reluctantly agreed. Come on, you even fry mushrooms in your breakfast. Die Fhre nach Scrabster erreicht man zu Fu in 5 Minuten. Die Zimmer tadellos sauber, das Frhstck sehr lecker. Doris ist eine sehr herzliche, interessierte und vor allem hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. Ich war als Backpacker bei ihr und sie hat mich in ihrem Auto mit nach Skara Brae genommen. Vielen lieben Dank!
