Outstanding tours are offered by this company. Stephen is a fantastic guide! We did two separate one-day bespoke tours with them and had an awesome time! The hike out to the Old Man of Hoy was incredible. Stephen has a fantastic knowledge of birds, flora/fauna, geos, history, archeology, etc., and plans a fantastic experience based on your interests. Both day tours were exceptional and gave us a much better appreciation for Hoy, its place in history, especially WWII history, and its natural beauty. So much to see on this tiny island! Worth every pence. I would highly recommend these tours.

A must be included on a visit to Hoy! I made a detour from the NC500 to visit Orkney and Hoy, of which I would highly highly recommend doing if you plan to do the NC500. I had considered doing some research and finding my way around the many things to see in Hoy. I am so glad I booked a tour with Island Tours, Steve has an incredible knowledge of the Island as it is today and its history, the wildlife and the best spots to see it. Steve's delivery of the information is engaging and really brings to life the islands past, from its rich history and remarkably well preserved historic attractions to the fascinating and strategic importance the islands played in the wars, along with facts and stories of people who would have been long forgotten if the island had not preserved memory of them The scenery is spectacular and wildlife in abundance, you really do feel that you are in the remotest parts of Britain listening to facts and stories of times of old and how the Island communities have lived through the ages, have survived and continue to thrive Thankyou for a wonderful tour Steve

This was an amazing trip combining history, geography, anthropology, and nature. Dougie was interesting and helpful and fully accommodated the slower members of our party. Although the weather was questionable we fitted in the beach picnic and had a great time. Thoroughly recommended

To say that this was just a tour of the island would be an understatement Steven was both extremely friendly and knowledgeable with an enthusiastic and vibrant narrative about the island and it's history and folklore.
