        The traditional railway buildings remain but are sadly abandoned. If you visit Birnam by train it is a short walk from the station to the village. You can also visit Dunkeld which is about a twenty minute walk from the station. I had about four hours between trains which was plenty time to visit both have something to eat etc. There are arrival departure times on display and shelter for wet weather. There are no toilet or ticket facilities at the station it is so unwelcoming.
