The Wee Nook, Self Catering Holiday Apartment

We've been coming to Dunkeld for almost 7 years so we knew it was an ideal location to access Dunkeld Village and several of our favourite walks. The Wee Nook is a home away from home and well equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The welcome pack was lovely and the youngest stepson enjoyed the raspberry lemonade thoroughly. Heating was on when we arrived which was ideal as it was the peak of winter and a tad chilly at times. Kid scored the bedroom as he's at that age where he likes to disappear and hide somewhere in the evenings so it was ideal for him to sit in bed, charge his phone etc. Wardrobe had ideal storage for all our belongings. The shower was toasty hot, much needed after a winters walk and then being able to cook dinner in the kitchen with ease was perfect. (anyone wondering why would you cook when away 1) I love to cook and 2) our usual hotel spots and the fish & chip shop were closed until the 6th Jan, just something to note if you go at that time of year) I really wanted to rate 5 stars, but I'd say the only thing we found difficult for the 3 nights and maybe we're just fussy, is the sofa bed could do with a mattress topper of some sort as it was fairly thin and a bit sore. A bit on the small side for two adults and we're not by any means large people. So next time we go, the kid is going in the sofa bed! We will be back, as we travel to Dunkeld a few times a year, and this is the ideal place for just the two of us.
